You don't need a teaching degree. You need patience, a clean background check, and the willingness to show up on the same day every week. Takes about ten minutes.

What happens after you submit

We read every application and reply within five business days.
A fifteen-minute phone conversation, at a time that works for you.
We call your two references.
Background screening — we pay for it, and it takes two to four weeks.
Orientation, then you shadow one session before working independently.

The covenant

Every adult here works under these rules. They are conditions of service, not preferences. Please read each one and check it.

The two-adult rule. I will never be alone and unobserved with a student. If a second adult isn't there, the session doesn't happen. No secrets. I will not keep secrets with a child, and I will not promise a student confidentiality about their safety. Communication boundaries. I will not contact students on personal phones, personal email, social media, or messaging apps. All contact runs through academy channels. Mandated reporting. If I suspect a child is being harmed, I will report it to the state hotline immediately. I will not investigate it myself and I will not wait for permission. Transportation. I will never transport a student alone. Screening. I understand I must pass criminal history, sex offender registry, and child abuse registry checks before any contact with a student, and that the academy pays for these.

We do not collect your Social Security number, date of birth, or ID numbers on this form. Those are gathered separately on a secure screening form once you reach that step, with a standalone written authorization as the law requires. Never send that information by email.
